Chiesa di S.Francesco
In via Savorgnana, at the Palace Valvason Morpurgo, home of the Gallery Project, are housed in the sections devoted to design and architecture. The Palace is home to temporary exhibitions. In via dei Calzolai, where we see the Belfry of the Chiesa di San Francesco (Church), we cross piazza Venerio and, on via Odorico da Pordenone, we encounter to the left the Church of San Francesco and to the right the Antico Ospedale di Santa Maria dei Battuti, founded in the XIIIth century by the homonymous confraternity and today headquarters of the town offices. Built on the corner with largo Ospedale Vecchio, the Chiesa di San Francesco - XIIIth century, now deconsecrated, is opened for exhibitions. Near the church we find the Ospedale Vecchio, built in the XVIIIth century and initially designed by the architect Bianchi and now headquarters of the court of justice. On the nearby via Crispi we can admire the Chiesa di Santo Spirito, an XVIIIth-century architectural masterpiece, built according to a project by Massari.

Leaving the Chiesa di San Francesco behind us, we turn right onto via del Ginnasio Vecchio, headquarters of the old Gymnasium of the Barnabiti (1679), and proceeding further we enter piazza XX Settembre. Among its relevant buildings we mention the neoclassic Palazzo Antivari-Kechler by the architect Giuseppe Jappelli (XIXth century) Palazzo Kechler - Foto tratta dall'archivio della fototeca del Castello and, on the eastern side of the square, the XVth-century casetta veneziana (little Venetian house), recomposed here in 1929, after being demolished to make place for the new town hall.
Returning to the southern side of the square we go down via Cesare Battisti, and finally reach piazza Garibaldi, where the Monument to Giuseppe Garibaldi stands (XIXth century): opposite is the XVIth-century Palazzo Mangilli-del Torso, with its elaborate façade completed in the XVIIth  century. From Piazza Garibaldi, towards the south, the picturesque via Grazzano winds it way through town. On this street we find Palazzo Giacomelli, home to the Ethnographic Museum of Friuli and further on is the XVIIIth-century Chiesa di San Giorgio (Church of San Giorgio).
Via GrazzanoTurning onto via Viola we arrive in front of Palazzo Gorgo-Maniago, erected for the Gorgo counts: this building, XVIth-century,was restructured during the XVIIIth century by Luca Andrioli il Giovane. Proceeding on via Poscolle we can admire Palazzo della Frattina, which has XVthcentury frescos, Palazzo Muratti and the ‘Speziaria pei Sani’ (is now closes), a characteristic inn located in a well-preserved XIVth-century building.
